Promo and Q&A with Donna Grant about A Cowboy Kind of Love

1.  Tell us about your latest release.

This is the sixth book in my Heart of Texas series about a group of friends and the challenges they go through to find the women of their dreams. The hero, Jace, has been one of my favorite characters. This is a second chance romance with all the feels, a hot cowboy, a determined heroine, and a group of friends who make sure they get their happily ever after.

2.  Without giving away any spoilers, give us a hint about a favorite scene.

Jace and Taryn alone together. :)

3. What inspired you to become a writer?

The stories in my head didn't give me a choice. Once I decided to write them down, there was no turning back.

4. What is a typical writing day for you like?

Wake up and take the dog out. Meditate, then have my warm lemon water before doing yoga. A shower and change before I have my smoothie and check email and hop on Facebook for a moment. By 9, I'm writing. I write 4000-5000 words a day, so I make sure to get half of them before lunch. After an hour and half lunch, I'm back at it to finish out my words. When that's done, I take the dog for a walk and stretch my legs, then return to my office and do some admin work and talk to my team.

5. If you weren’t a writer, what would you be doing?

Probably still working in accounting in some capacity.

6. Do you have any interesting writing quirks or habits?

My mind is very chaotic, so I have to have my space (my entire house, actually, but especially my office) to be clean and neat. The space also has to have good energy so that the creative juices can flow.

7. What has been one of the most surprising things you’ve learned as a published author?

I think it's hearing from readers that something I wrote in a book helped them through a particularly difficult time. It's very humbling.

8. What authors or friends influenced you in helping you become a writer?

My parents were readers, so I grew up reading. I always had a book in hand. It seemed a natural progression to become a writer. It was an email exchange with Catherine Coulter, however, that really set me on the path to learning the publishing business and how to get published.

9. Do you have any favorite authors that you like to read?

So many favorite authors. Larissa Ione, JR Ward, Robyn Peterman to name a few.

10. What other hobbies or interests do you have?

Reading, of course. I also love movies and TV, puzzles of any kind, and gardening.

11. Can you tell us about what’s coming up next after this for you writing wise?

In May I have the next book in my Reaper series, DARK ALPHA'S OBSESSION.

In July, I have DRAGON MINE, the second book in the Dragon King series.

October 26th is the release date for HOME FOR A COWBOY CHRISTMAS!

12. How can readers connect with you online?

I have a ton of ways readers can find me.
