Gift Card contest....

Okay, it's been a rough weekend for me since my air conditioning decided to break down during a heatwave. :(

To say I'm hot is an understatement.
I could use one of these right now....

Since summer is around the corner (LOL) what books are you looking forward to this summer as your beach read?

Winner receives a $15.00 online gift card to Amazon or BN.

Post and you'll be entered. One entry per person for the contest, winner to be announced later in the week.

I'm looking forward to Elizabeth Moon's next book, whatever the next books are by Michelle Sagara/Michelle West, the next Jayne Ann Castle.... I haven't been really been checking the forthcoming books lists to really be up on such things, though! The meltdown of the print book distribution industry has left me without the critical tool of being able to randomly flip throough a book to decide if it's worth reading/buying to me (sometimes it takes me one paragraph at random to make a for or against decision. The publisher or author choice of excerpt, or the first couple pages, often don't work for me. E.g. sex scenes tend to not be worthwhile as metrics for me about "is this story going to be something I will regret buying/reading if I buy, or regret not buying/reading?"
