Promo and Book Giveaway: THE CHRISTMAS COWBOY HERO by DONNA GRANT

1.      Tell us about your newest release. My newest is THE CHRISTMAS COWBOY HERO, the first book in my Hearts of Texas series. It's about an emotionally wounded ex-SEAL who has to return to the family ranch to save it and a stubborn, courageous woman fighting to raise her young brothers on her own during a season where miracles do happen.
2.      What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your story? I don't plot my books, so I'm constantly surprised by my characters.  This was my first Christmas story, and I loved it! So much that I really want to write another one.
3.      How long have you been writing? I began writing in 1999, and I haven't looked back since.
4.      What authors or friends influenced you in helping you become a writer? The great thing about the romance community is how so many people are wiling to help others. I couldn't begin to list everyone who encouraged me and steered me in the right direction when I first started out, or all of those that even today I turn to for advice.
5.      What is a typical day like for you? I wake up about 7, get my lemon water and check emails and do social media. Then I start writing no later than 9. I write ten pages before lunch, and then another ten after. And during all of that, I'm fielding emails from my team, making notes about upcoming releases, approving covers, and updating my calendar so I don't forget anything. (which inevitably I do. lol)
6.      Besides writing, what other interests do you have? I have a crazy love for makeup that I share with my daughter. We have so very, very much. I also have a bit of a weakness for shoes. However, you can normally find me with the kids at either the bookstore or the movies.
7.      Can you tell us what is coming up next for you? I have a release every month, so there's always something new on the horizon. Up next is EVERSONG, the first book in my Kindred series, a historical paranormal with my heroines being witch hunters. Then in December is MOON BOUND, the final book in my LaRue series, a paranormal about a werewolf family who protects New Orleans. In January is the next installment in my Dark Kings (aka Dragon Kings) with HEAT, book 12 in the paranormal series. In March is DARK ALPHA'S NIGHT, the 5th book in the Reaper series, which ties into the Dragon Kings.
8.      How can readers connect with you online? I can be found pretty much everywhere.

About THE CHRISTMAS COWBOY HERO by DONNA GRANT

Sexy Texas cowboys, Christmas joy and magic, and second chances for the holidays all come together in THE CHRISTMAS COWBOY HERO (St. Martin’s Paperbacks, October 31, 2017, $7.99), the first book in the new Heart of Texas series by New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Donna Grant. In this exciting and charming novel, a former SEAL returns to his hometown to find that the love he has been searching for might have been right in his small town all along. In an emotional turn from Grant’s more suspenseful novels, this book is sure to delight longtime fans and new readers alike.

’Tis the season for ex-Navy SEAL Clayton East to come home for the holidays—even if the mood at home is anything but festive. His father is ill. The East Ranch is in financial trouble. And now it’s on Clayton, the prodigal son, to make sure his family doesn’t lose everything.

Headstrong Abby Harper is like a mother to her younger brothers, who she’s helped raise since she was a teenager. Keeping them in line is no small task while she’s also working toward her college degree. And now that one of her brothers has been arrested for stealing cattle at the East Ranch, Abby is at her wits’ end. But there is a silver lining: Clayton East. He believes in second chances, and is willing to give one to her brother this Christmas. Letting beautiful Abby—and the inescapable longing in his heart—off the hook, however, is a whole other story. Could it be that the woman of this local hero’s dreams has been back at home all along?
