Bon Appétit and a Book: A delicious recipe to enjoy alongside the book with an image.
Black Pepper Popcorn. It’s so simple and so good. You can make this in a popcorn popper or in a pot on the stovetop. I make it in the microwave by using a sturdy paper plate. On the plate, I pour in a small amount of oil, the popcorn kernels, and then I sprinkle it with black pepper. I cover it with a thick plastic bowl that’s about the same size as the plate and cook it on high in the microwave until it all pops. I invert the plate so the popcorn is all in the bowl, add some salt and enjoy. There’s minimal clean-up, too, because I toss the paper plate.
Song Playlist: A prepared playlist of songs that embodies the book’s characters and their love story.
Rod Stewart: I Don’t Want to Talk About It
Dierks Bentley: Different for Girls
Adele: All I Ask
Sam Hunt: Make You Miss Me
Phil Collins: Do You Remember
Berlin: Take My Breath Away
Sia: Salted Wound
How-to Tips for Aspiring Writers: Tips for those looking to get their work published/break into the industry.
Set up a writing schedule and stick to it. The only way to get published and stay published is to write. Also, try to write the same time every day, and then it’ll become a habit.
Writer’s Space: Photos and a brief description of the place where they do their writing.
I have an office, but I don’t write there a lot. It’s just a place for my desk, craft books and supplies. Often, I write in a recliner in one of the back bedrooms, and here’s why. The view is amazing.
Love Lessons Learned: Real life romance lessons learned from the book.
I’ve learned that love can overcome most things. That includes painful pasts, differences and even family squabbles. When love is the foundation of a relationship, it’s much easier to stay together or find your way back to each other.
Movie Star Cast: The author picks movie stars to play the characters in a movie.
Scott Eastwood for the hero because he’s got that hot cowboy edge to him. For the heroine, I’d like Jennifer Lawrence. She’s tough and funny but still has a level of vulnerability that makes you root for her.
Romantic Revenge: The author picks an action-packed movie which pairs perfectly with their book.
This is going to sound like a strange pick, but I’m choosing Jurassic World. It’s the perfect action romance. The hero and heroine team up to save two children, and even though they’re vastly different people, the h/h end up falling for each other.
