Promo Spotlight on ... SEXY TO GO with Pamela Moran!

1. Tell us about your newest release.

My PSI Sentinel series deals with a psychic, covert agency working in tandem with the government. Dreamwalkers, found in the Sexy To Go anthologies, are an offshoot branch of the PSI involved in a Federal Task Force. These men and women explore the shadowy, dangerous world of dreams and find, if not a happily ever after, a definite happy for now romantic ending,

Dreamwalker: Dream Date (Sexy To Go, Volume 6), opens with Lee Jacobs staring at a photo of a woman he's certain he should know. But he doesn't. A few months before, Lee had been shot and left for dead. He survived, unfortunately his memory is full of holes. Why is he so sure Brynn Keagan, the beautiful doctor at the Lucid Dreaming Research Center, has the answers he seeks?

2. What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your story?

As a monthly collection of short stories, the Sexy To Go anthologies come out once a month. Since they're quick, short reads, I didn't expect to get so attached to the characters. Already I have notes for longer stories for several of the Dreamwalker characters. So even though they're happy for now, stay tuned!

3. Do you have any interesting or quirks or rituals?

A good portion of each story I write, especially the Sexy To Go stories, are written long-hand, in a notebook I carry just about everywhere. Not that quirky for a writer, but I tend to start at the back of the notebook and work towards the front. For a long time I thought of that as just something I do, but really, psychologically, I find the process freeing.

For revisions and time-lines, I work in the 'normal' way, from the front back. By the time the notebook is full, I've met myself somewhere in the center of the book.

4. What authors or friends influenced you in helping you become a writer?

This question stumped me for a bit. So many of my friends are writers, and there are so many authors I admire and respect. But I've always been a reader and a story-teller for as far back as I can remember, and I have to say my mother was the biggest influence. She loved books, loved words, and instilled in all of us that love of reading. I remember her toying with the thought of writing children's books, and although she didn't actively pursue the notion for herself, she planted that idea of sharing the stories I made up firmly inside me.

5. What does your family think about your career as a published author?

I have two grown sons and while I know they scratch their heads over the idea their mother writes romance, they're also the first to brag about my books!

6. Besides writing, what other interests do you have?

Photography is another love. On the cover for Blind Sight (PSI Sentinels, Book Two), the background is from a photo I shot, in the same area of Oregon where the story takes place. For Gavin's Woman, the latest PSI Sentinel book, I shot all three photos that make up the cover.

I'm also an astrologer and I do tend to use that knowledge with my characters. Lee Jacobs, hero of Dreamwalker: Dream Date (Vol 6) is a mental Libra. He hasn't been in balance since he was shot, and Brynn, an earthy, no nonsense Capricorn, keeps his equilibrium spinning in circles.

7. Can you tell us what is coming up next for you?

Dreamwalker: Finders, Inc (Sexy To Go, Vol 7) finds psychic private detective, Flint Payson stalking Dreamwalker Iona Brooks. Or is she stalking him? You'll have to enter their dreams to find out.

Late summer/early fall, I'll also have a new PSI Sentinel story out, Darkwater Echoes (Book One in the PSI Sentinel / Darkwater series).
