I received a cup cake from my husband and it was chocolate. He then told me were were going to celebrate with each other.

Not counting the proposal from my husband; he went on an errand and brought me back a heart shaped jelly donut and coffee - and I LOVE jelly donuts.

Cook me my favorite meal and surprise me with it. I thought it was so thoughtful and that they took the time to do so.

Asking if I want to go to the bookstore (when there were bookstores). Goung to lunch and then to Borders or B&N was the perfect way to spend a day.

Years ago, when I was out of town for work on Valentine's Day, my husband wrote me a poem and sent it to the hotel where I was staying. It was so unlike him and so sweet. I still have it, of course!

My husband spread rose petals throughout the house and had our bedroom candlelit and had wine in crystal glasses to surprise me.

DH used to always get up with the kids on the weekends and let me sleep in--that extra hour or two was bliss! :)

Flowers sent to me at work from my husband, when we was freshly married. Already told him not to worry about Valentines this year..we have each other which is plenty enough for me no need for gifts etc. :)

A special seafood dinner which was really special since he had no idea how to cook seafood. Yeah, it could have been better but it was the thought that counted!
