Mirabelle Island – Present Day

Adam Harding and his crew are working on cleaning up the aftermath of a tornado that decimated the village center, getting ready to repair and rebuild. Due to the cobblestone streets, no heavy equipment can be used, so it is a slow process. His children’s nanny is called away from the island leaving Adam with no one to care for his children, four year-old Wyatt, and seven year-old Julia.

Marin Camden and her mother, Angelica, arrive on the ferry after Marin quit her high powered job on Wall Street and broke up with her cheating fiancé, while Angelica is considering divorcing her senator husband. Because they come in the off-season, they hope for a quiet month of relaxation before they move on. Missy, who runs the local gift shop, is Marin’s sister. She is married with two children. Marin is not particularly fond of children and has decided on no children in her future. Instead, she has focused on her career. She doesn’t trust men after the example of her father and fiancé, but she can’t help but be attracted to her new neighbor, Adam. She is shocked when her mother offers to care for his two children for the month.

Mirabelle has a good affect on everyone who comes to the island. Romance is in the air. In the seven books, the men and women find their perfect mates; people work out their issues, and find new careers on the beautiful island. I’m sad to say REDEMPTION AT MIRABELLE is Ms. Brenna’s last novel in the An Island to Remember series. Marin arrives on the island a career woman to the nth degree, but she soon begins to relax, make friends, and decide what career she wants to pursue. Angelica has a few would-be beaus…will she decide to stay or return to her husband who is begging her to come home? Adam arrives with his children and some baggage from his former marriage that he must work through. Even though he doesn’t want to get involved with Marin, will he be able to stay away? Readers will find several characters from previous books to see how their lives are progressing.

The An Island to Remember stories have been excellent with fascinating characters, exceptional writing, and exciting romances. REDEMPTION AT MIRABELLE is an entertaining tale to complete this wonderful heart-warming series. I will definitely be looking for more books from this author.
