Book Giveaway: SOMETHING ABOUT YOU by Julie James

Blurb:

FATE HAS THROWN TWO SWORN ENEMIES. . .

Of all the hotel rooms rented by all the adulterous politicians in Chicago, female Assistant U.S. Attorney Cameron Lynde had to choose the one next to 1308, where some hot-and-heavy lovemaking ends in bloodshed. And of all the FBI agents in Illinois, it had to be Special Agent Jack Pallas who gets assigned to this high-profile homicide. The same Jack Pallas who still blames Cameron for a botched crackdown three years ago—and nearly ruining his career…

. . .INTO EACH OTHER’S ARMS

Work with Cameron Lynde? Are they kidding? Maybe, Jack thinks, this is some kind of welcome-back prank after his stint away from Chicago. But it’s no joke: the pair is going to have to put their rocky past behind them and focus on the case at hand. That is, if they can cut back on the razor-sharp jibes—and smother the flame of their sizzling-hot sexual tension…

This is a big weekend for my hometown. It's our annual "Apple Blossom Parade" where they have a theme each year and all the entrants decorate their floats around the theme. They pick a queen and a court who ride in sports cars, the Shriners drive silly cars and of course, there's lots and lots of candy. We are also having an Air Show with the Blue Angels flying at warp speeds which prove to be exciting. Last but not least, Our annual Cinco de Mayo festival will be this weekend with food, fun and my favorite, Margaritas! Anybody want to come? You're more than welcome! I'll give direction!! ;-)

I have a two year old who wakes up with the sun, so sleeping in isn't in the cards. But if it is sunny will will hit the park and play, then we take a long walk around the lake by our house. Our weekends are lazy, lazy, lazy and we love them!

The weekend starts with a visit from a rep from Home Depot who is coming out to quote a price on ripping out and installing new windows on our home.... The rest of Saturday will be spent in preparation for going to a Reception for The Celebraties Golf Classic in San Marcos Texas where will we get to mix and mingle with the likes of Samuel L Jackson and other lesser known actors, sports figures, artists, authors and etc..
Sunday will be spent resting and probably doing yard work...

This weekend we're dealing with the repercussions of installing a washer and dryer upstairs in the bathroom over 8 months ago, which resulted in a fire, and was followed by having the room gutted and redone. The original contracted plumber subcontracted out the other work and ended up hiring idiots who screwed the walls into the plumbing which only last month burst creating damage to the bathroom and the kitchen downstairs. The moral of this story is settle it through the insurance companies, no matter how good of a relationship you think you have with someone working on your house, you don't want to put it through a test as everyone has a breaking point and you may not break even, let alone come out ahead.

Yard work is on the agenda for this weekend and then we will rent a movie on Sunday night as a sort of reward.
