Book Giveaway: MY WICKED MARQUESS by Gaelen Foley!

My Wicked Marquess by Gaelen Foley
Available in most bookstores now!

Blurb:

The Marquess of Rotherstone has decided it’s time to restore the family’s good name. But as a member of the Inferno Club, he knows there is only one way to redeem himself in Society’s eyes: marry a lady of impeccable beauty and breeding, whose reputation is, above all, spotless.

Someone quite unlike Daphne Starling. True, she’s temptingly lovely, but a jilted suitor has nearly ruined her reputation. Still, Max cannot resist her allure—or the challenge of proving London’s gossips wrong. He would do anything to win her hand . . . and show that even a wicked marquess can make a perfect husband.

Actually, I picked up the second book in Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series, it wasn't until later on in the book that I realized it was the second in a series. So I finished it, got the first, fell in love, and now it's one of my favorite series of all time.

I've love to check this book out!

Thanks!

I've done that quite a few times. If I like the book, I will go back and buy the previous books and watch out for any future books in the series. I've gotten hooked on a few new-to-me authors this way.

Thanks for the chance to win this book! Gaelen Foley is one of those authors that I've heard so many good things about, but never read. This sounds like the start of a good series!

I like series books to be able to stand alone... meaning that you aren't missing something essential from an earlier book or left hanging at the end.

I have been surprised a few times finding out that a book was part of a series but (luckily)never really disappointed or felt cheated by that fact.

I actually like connected books:whether by family, or job establishment, or historical club members, or a contest. If I liked the book, I definitely would check out the books that came before or follow later. Although, My first preference would be to read them sequentionally.

I love historicals, so I'd enjoy reading Galen Foley's book "My Wicked Marquess"!!

Too many times to count have I finished and then went back to the author's site and realized that ugh, I just read the latest. Now I have to go back and start at the begining. Good and bad, b/c it gives me something to catch up on while I am waiting for the next release. And bad because I get so fustrated with myself for not being on top of things!

I have done that a time or two in the past, but before I buy any book, I usually research it fully to see if A) I actually want the book and B) it is part of a series. If the book is part of a series, I'll research the other books as well.

I'm weird in that I just can't start reading a series until I have ALL of the books in my hands. The only exception to that rule is the very long Cynsters series by Stephanie Laurens.

I have done that several times but not in a while. I have also picked up a book that was the first in a series and then somehow missed the second coming out and then bought the third but thought it was the second.

I have done this and then I get the first book in the series before I read this one!

I have picked up a book, read it and then found out it was part of a series. Usually I don't want the story to be over so I'm happy to find out it's part of a series!

I actually read Julia Quinn's last Bridgerton novel first. I loved the book and the Bridgerton family, so I was pleased to know that there were other books. I got all the previous books and then started at the beginning. It was a wonderful series.

I have done that as well and then decided to get the rest of the series because I liked that particular installment so much.

I did that with Stephanie Laurens' Cynster series. I read all of them out of order, but I still enjoyed them very much.

I have done this numerous times. I usually buy the rest of the series. Have to know what the rest of the series is about.

Like to try Gaelen's new series.

I've done this a few times in past, but now I can check online and keep a booklist noting series, so I don't start in the middle.

I've done this more than a few times, and it never seems to fail that it's never the first one. Hate it when that happens, or when it is a part of a series, but really can't be read as a stand alone.

Oh, it happens to me all the time. When I've read a book I like and just simply get hooked on the H/H and supporting characters I just have to find out if its part of trilogy or series. I much prefer the books to be a stand alone.

kalynnick said...

Yes! I hate when that happen because then I want to back read the other books in the series then the book I already have in my hand....LOL

LOL, it happens to me all the time. I am forever reading a book and finding out it was the 2nd or 3rd in a series.

I have done it a couple of times. It is really frustrating to be reading a book, and realize I do not know what is going on.

My other favorite thing to do is buy a copy of a book I already have without realizing it because the publishing company did a reprint and changed the cover.
