My favorite historical was Jo Goodman's "The Price of Desire."
My favorite was Lisa Kleypas' Seduce Me At Sunrise.
Oh my, how do I choose just one? I read so many wonderful historicals this year.
I guess I will say "Tall,Dark,and Texan" by Jodi Thomas.
Honorable mentions:
"The Kiss" by Sophia Nash
"Duchess by Night" by Eloisa James
"The Christmas Countess" by Adrienne Basso
"Your Scandalous Ways" by Loretta Chase
"Mr.Cavendish,I Presume" by Julia Quinn
I have been thinking about this question for hours and I honestly cant tell you 1 historical that was my favorite. I love Stephanie Laurens, Julia Quinn and Eloisa James, and then I kept thinking and it seemed liked a million more authors popped in my head. I love the genre and I dont think that I have read one that I didnt like.
I rate all the books I read 1-4 stars. Of the 37 or so books I read in '08, 6 earned a 4-star rating. They were:
It Happened One Night Anthology;
Duke Most Wanted by Celeste Bradley;
Her Scandalous Affair by Candice Hern; Noble Intentions by Katie MacAlister; Murder on Nob Hill by Shirley Tallman; No Regrets by Michele Ann Young
Of those, I think my favorite was Her Scandalous Affair. Hern is my #1 favorite author.
Murder on Nob Hill by Shirley Tallman. Mostly because it took place here in the States.
A Passion Most Pure by Julie Lessman.
Price of Desire by Jo Goodman
Runnerups:
My Lady Spymaster by Joanna Bourne
Seduce Me at Sunrise by Lisa Kleypas
Never Romance a Rake by Liz Carlyle
To Seduce a Sinner by Elizabeth Hoyt
Delicious by Sherry Thomas
Scandal’s Daughter by Christine Wells
Promises Reveal by Sarah McCarty
The Spymaster's Lady - Joanne Bourne
My favorite was The Spymaster's Lady by Joanna Bourne.
Wow, tough call! I guess I'd say 'Simply Sinful' by Kate Pearce. Outstanding book.

It is so hard to pick just one!!
But, I'll pick Laura Lee Guhrke's Secret Desires of a Gentleman.
I also loved Jenna Peterson's Lady Spies trilogy! Merry(Meredith), Ana(Anastasia) & Emily lead very exciting and intriqueing lives!
