Win a giftcard from Amazon

I'm starting off October just right......how about a chance to win a $25 Amazon egift card? The one winner will be drawn on October 15th. To be entered, you have to post your response to this question:

What author or authors do you wish had more coming out each year or who is no longer publishing?

Easy question!

Like I said, I will announce the winner on October 15th. Be sure to read the rules. Only one entry per person.

I wish Lauren Bach and Heather Lowell will release something new. They haven't had any releases in over three years. I don't know if they're still writing.

Vonda N. McIntyre was an early favorite of mine when I was a teen. Dream Snake is on my keeper shelf. She wrote Sci-Fi. My early love of Sci-Fi I believe is what broadened my tastes to include genres that grew in popularity later like paranormal.

I love Judy Blume! She had great books! I grew up reading her!

Lauren Bach...I'd love to see more stories by her, too and I also want to read more Judith McNaught stories.

I wish Connie Mason had more books coming out.

Julia Quinn. She only has one book a year, on average (although she did have 2 this year!).

I really wish Lavyrle Spencer was still writing. I just started reading her and I'm hooked.

Adele Ashworth and Julia Quinn. Julia did have 2 books this year and she does have an anthology coming soon and she does have something out in Summer '09. As for Adele, I don't have a clue when her next book will come out.

Loretta Chase, Beth Ciotta, Monica McCarty... oh, let's face it--if I like their writing, those authors can't possibly write fast enough to suit me ;)

Dev, at least Lavyrle's written a lot, right? :)

Susan Elizabeth Phillips. Hands down. I'd say also Shannon McKenna. Also a number of the other authors already mentioned. Oh and Leanne Banks.

Julie Garwood...I wish she'd have more historicals out (or at least more books each year). Also, Sandy Blair, Jodi Thomas, Geralyn Dawson, etc.

Most authors that I enjoy can't write fast enough to suit me.

Judith Ivory hasn't published anything in a while but I really enjoy her stories and I wish Loretta Chase had more stories out.

I am with Jennifer on Julie Garwood and would also add CL Wilson.

Stephenie Meyer, even though Breaking Dawn was just released a couple months ago. I want Midnight Sun to be released so badly...

Robin McKinley, Anne McCaffrey and many, many more who can't seem to write fast enough for me.

Judith Ivory is one I'd like to see, though I think I saw somewhere she was ill; another is Diane Farr. Carla Kelly is now back with Harlequin, love to see more from her.

Oh this is a great question! I miss a few that haven't had one out in a while. Maggie Osborne and Marsha Canham both retired but it would be great if they came back with another of their historicals!

Some that write still but miss seeing any out would be VICKIE TAYLOR (miss the rest of the books in the Gargoyle World series). Karyn Monk had some wonderful historicals! She went on leave having a baby a few years ago so hope she comes back! Some others I read and haven't seen books of theirs in a while, Colleen Shannon
Deb Stover, Elizabeth Guest (had one vamp out but other didn't come out, Jane Sullivan (I miss those Temptation books!)and Morgan Leigh(loved her story in the Brava WILDEST DREAMS anth).

By the way, Jane Goodger who has wrote some wonderful historicals is finally back November with her first release in a few years! Can't wait!

I second Judith Ivory and Robin Schone from the ones already mentioned. I'd also like to read Jennifer Crusie and Kelley Armstrong (among other favorite authors) more often. And I liked many historical romances by Iris Johansen, so I wish she'd still write them.

Gennita Low leaps to mind. Her book Virtually His was fascinating and I hear that the second and third book in the series is on indefinite hold. Alas!

I do have an author whose books I always appreciate. Marcia Willett is one I look forward to and love.

Two names come to mind. Judith McNaught and Janet Evanovich. I love reading both their books, but waiting years or a whole year is just too much time to wait, I feel.
