Throwing you all for a loop.....

Hi all, it's Saturday, the sun is shining and I'm thinking about what to pack for the RWA conference the end of July. I'm taking my camera and hoping I can upload pics while there, or at least blog a little about the conference.

For a bit of a surprise here, I'm putting up WHAT MATTERS MOST by Luanne Rice as a book giveaway. You can read more about it here.

What are your summer vacation plans this year? Post away and let us know and you'll be entered into the contest to win WHAT MATTERS MOST.

I'll pick a winner Tuesday night. Good luck!

Thanks for this great giveaway. No plans as yet, but if lucky a road trip within our area later in the summer.

We've been staying close to home most of this summer, but I think we're planning on hitting the "happiest place on Earth" before the kids head back to school... Eeekk!

Happy summer, everyone!

We will be having a lot of work done on our home this summer, so I doubt that we will take a long trip. We may take some short jaunts just to get away. I will be doing a lot of reading for that is my passion regardless of the season. I don't even take short trips without books. They are my traveling companions. LOL

Getting ready for my annual summer trip to Michigan for family reunion and visits with my children. Earlier in the year, I had thought to extend my trip to include traveling to the Dakotas, but with gas prices being what they are, I'm cancelling that part of the trip.

I am also surprised and the huge rate increases for motel rooms. When I am in my home town in MI, I stay at the same motel and the room rates for a 3 day stay has gone up over $100 since I was there at Christmas.

We already had ours in June to celebrate our anniversary. We left the kids with my mom and sister and got away just the two of us for a romantic escape for a few days. It was wonderful!

I'm trying to redecorate my apartment this summer! Will also spend some time in the pool and catch up on my reading.

I just took my vacation days from work last week, but I just stayed home and sleep in and did a little grocery shopping.

Hopefully a vacation in August. Perhaps a week at the beach. Would love this.
