Scary Reading!

Do you read scary books or other Halloween themed books as we approach Halloween?
I know several readers who pick up Christmas romances, but what about Halloween? Can there be much romance in a Halloween story?

Tell us about your favorite Halloween themed books?

I do read Halloween themed books. Denise A. Agnew has a great series for Halloween. It is called Deep is the Night. I also read Things That Go Bump in the Night from Ellora's Cave Publishging.

I loving reading theme books for certain holidays, the only problem is that there are so many to choose from! :-)

I can't think of a favorite Halloween book at the moment, but a really good one that jumps into my head would be a Silhouette Shadows title, BREAK THE NIGHT by Anne Stuart. About the reincarnation of Jack the Ripper...spooky, but fabulous!

Hi Heidi! i've been reading some of Anne Stuarts earlier books that I had and don't think I had BREAK THE NIGHT, so I'll have to see if I can find that one, hers are hard to fine!

First I don't like Horror at all. I'm a wimp to read anything horror! But I love alot of paranormal romance reads and too I do like gothics and those that have a darker theme but are romances. One I recommend is Denyse Bridgers and the Delane Files. There are two ebooks out so far OUT OF HELL and AN UNSPOKEN BETRAYAL (Liquid Silver Books). These are like a series so they are ongoing, similar what you'd read with historical mysteries with the bubbling romance. She also had a dark fiction book out called DESCENT INTO DARKNESS. Not an HEA, that I remember, but a dark vampire story! And I don't read Horror, LOL. I just have dearly enjoyed Denyse Bridgers' books so I have tried anything of hers with her writing voice!
